David Clark

Operations Manager

David has always had passion for technology and volunteered in the tech ministry at Free Chapel for 24 years before coming on staff. Free Chapel led by Pastor Jentezen Franklin, is involved in local as well as international ministries. The broadcast ministry alone goes around the world daily to millions of homes. Prior to joining dB, David was their operations manager of Free Chapel Worship Center in Gainesville, GA for ten years. He was responsible for the overall operations of the audio, video, lighting and control systems of this dynamic church.

Prior to Free Chapel, David gained valuable business skills by owning his own business for 15 years. He also obtained in-depth construction experience as a general contractor for a number of years. His education includes an Associate degree in Electronics along with numerous AV training classes.

As head of operations with dB, David's years of experience help to ensure all the bases of your project are covered from start to completion by monitoring day to day business. Whether your needs are sales, design, engineering, installation, training or service - he is involved to make certain your needs are being met in a timely fashion and with the utmost integrity.

Victor Puddy

Chief Engineer

Victor was formerly project manager for a major AV integration firm based out of Pensacola, Florida. He brings to dB over 20 years of experience in the audio/video industry, having worked on several large projects, such as University of Alabama, Carmel Performing Art Center, Potters House in Dallas, and many more.

He has worked with a variety of audio and video products; receiving certifications in TEF 20, Crestron Digital Media, Bose System Design, and Synergetic Audio Concepts training – just name a few. His studies in college included Mechanical Drafting, and Electronic Technology.

As our chief engineer, Victor ensures all our AV systems are designed to perform at optimum efficiency. His duties also include room analysis, system setup, and customer training.

Bill Johnson


Before landing at dB, Bill served for nearly 14 years as the full-time Technical Director and Chief Audio Engineer for Kenneth Copeland Ministries. In this role, Bill travelled throughout the world, supporting Kenneth and Gloria Copeland; as they taught the uncompromising Word of God.

Prior to KCM, Bill worked as a freelance sound reinforcement and lighting engineer in the touring industry. Bill's past clients have included Concrete Blonde, Dave Matthews Band, Ice T, Widespread Panic and numerous regional musical acts from the Southeast US. He has received numerous audio certifications from Synergetic Audio Concepts and is certified from Shermco Industries for high voltage production power.

Since coming to the knowledge of Jesus Christ as Lord and Savior, Bill has committed himself to bring his vast experience to the Body of Christ through education and consultation. Bill's passion is helping those who serve in the technical ministry of helps in the local church. He conducts audio continuing education seminars and workshops to churches and ministries across the country.

With his years of experience, Bill helps us plan, design and implement systems that will fit your budget and will operate at the highest quality possible. Through the use of 3D CAD, Bill allows you to visualize your systems prior to installation – providing value to our presentations and documentation. Once the job is done, he provides insightful training that will allow you to understand how to use your new products.

Barry Shields

IT Manager

Barry has been working with computers and electronics since the early 80’s. After completing his Associates Degree in Minicomputer Technology at Dalton State College, he worked as a field service engineer for Digital Equipment Corporation in Atlanta repairing computer electronics for twelve years. Leaving DEC in 1996 he then worked in IT first as network administrator for the City of Gainesville and then as technical administrator for Johnson Industries.

Coming on board with dB in 2003, he bridges the gap between IT and AV by working with engineering on anything involving computers, networks or control systems. His duties include: managing our computer/server network and our website, modifying AutoCAD drawings for AV engineering, designing/programming/commissioning of control systems, implementation of digital signage, and technical sales support.

Since joining dB, Barry has completed numerous AV and control system training/certifications with manufacturers such as Crestron, SP Controls, Samsung, LG and Blackbox - to name a few. With his years of IT/electronics training and experience along with AV training and certifications, he will help ensure that your project is a success.

Ronnie Stanford

Director of Sales & Marketing

Prior to coming to dB, Ronnie served twelve years in full time vocational ministry at churches in Georgia, South Carolina, and Kentucky after completing an undergraduate degree and a Masters in New Testament at Columbia International University. Throughout his ministry he also came to be known as the “tech guy” in the churches he served; designing, upgrading, and installing audio and video systems for a variety of venues and applications.

As a result of his growth in the technology ministry Ronnie was able to use his experience working for AV integration firms - opening a regional office in Kentucky for a Colorado based company and he has also worked with a Kentucky A/V company as sales/project manager overseeing installs, working with system designs, and developing sales and marketing. His technical training includes numerous Synergetic Audio Concepts classes, certification for the Yamaha M7-CL and Allen Heath iLive digital consoles, Bose Modler Program, and certification from Crestron in Commercial System Design. In addition to his full time responsibilities at dB, Ronnie currently serves as the Technical Director at the Flowery Branch Campus of 12Stone Church - overseeing live production, video, lighting, and sound reinforcement.

Because of his unique perspective Ronnie can help customers walk through the process of finding solutions to their audio and video questions having been both consumer and a systems integrator. His ministry and technical experience combined with his passion to serve gives him the ability to provide resources needed to help clients make the best decision in meeting both technical and practical needs.

Neil Philpott

Systems Advisor

Neil comes to us from Tullahoma, Tennessee where for sixteen years he owned his own business specializing in custom, handcrafted instruments and a worldwide distribution of antique stringed instruments. Additionally, his company designed, built and serviced audio systems for the churches in that area. Neil then felt a calling to join Stasis Ministries where he was on the road full-time as a musician/singer - teaching youth groups about Biblical truths in worship. He later worked with Hi-Tech Innovations of Nashville, TN where he was responsible for sales and development of their commercial/industrial audio and video systems.

He holds an Associate degree in Broadcast Communication/Television and Radio Production and has furthered his technical training with Syn-Aud-Con’s Sound Reinforcement Seminars; Shure’s Advanced Wireless Microphone Training; Sencore’s CEDIA Profession Certification in Advanced Video Display Calibration, Audio System Calibration, and RF Distribution Systems; and Crestron’s Commercial Systems Design Certification.

At dB as a systems advisor since 2002, his years of experience in the AV industry are an asset to providing comprehensive solutions to our clients in a variety of venues.

Frank Locklear

Systems Advisor

Frank represents dB in our Eastern Regional Office in the Augusta, Georgia area.

He is an accomplished musician, having attended the University of Georgia majoring in music performance, and playing professionally for over twelve years with artists including Charlie Daniels, Earl Scruggs, and Travis Tritt. This lay the groundwork for extensive experience in recording studio design, installation and ownership working with various venues in the Atlanta, Georgia area. Frank has also attended Southern Technical Institute, with an emphasis in electrical engineering.

Prior to coming on with dB in 1998, he worked in the AV integration industry for 12 years doing installations and drafting before moving into a sales capacity. Over the years he has completed numerous technical training courses and certifications including Synergetic Audio Concepts, Extron, Key Digital and Bose to name a few. He has always been very active in his local church as AV coordinator and currently serves in the deacon ministry.

As a systems advisor at dB with over 25 years of engineering and sales professionalism in audio, video and acoustics dealing with a wide variety of venues – Frank can help his customers with strong emphasis on problem solving and customer satisfaction.

John Hogg

Systems Advisor / Video Systems Engineer

John has been in the AV industry since the early 90’s initially focusing on the Broadcast Manufacturing side of the business. In 2001, he went to work as the Atlanta regional manager for a large AV integration company where he managed all aspects of sales, design, and integration for the Atlanta region.

John has a degree is mathematics/physics and holds numerous industry certifications in digital video systems design, fiber optics, reinforced sound and has been ICIA CTS certified since 2003. John loves playing and composing music and has been a worship leader/musician since the 1980’s. He has been a musician with the 12Stone Church’s main campus worship team since 1999 playing keyboards, electric guitar, and bass guitar.

In addition to being a systems advisor at dB, John is the video systems design engineer and designs all of the broadcast video systems for the dB sales team. He is an audio visual systems expert with experience in all facets of design and engineering of complex AV solutions. He loves working with clients to bring their technical visions to life.

Brad Lyons

Systems Advisor

Prior to coming to dB, Brad has served in numerous roles in the AV industry including audio equipment sales for Caruso Music and was Sr. Sales Engineer at Sweetwater Sound for 10 years where he helped develop a larger market for their HOW clients. For the past 5 years he was the pro accounts manager for GC Pro – the outside professional sales division of Guitar Center.

Brad has over 25 years’ experience serving in technical ministries, dating all the way back to his middle school days. He has served as audio/media coordinator and production manager for the Unity Performing Arts Foundation and broadcast engineer for Blackhawk Ministries. As a musician, he also has years of touring experience. He has also owned a high-end home audio and video production studio for many years.

As a solid veteran of the AV industry, Brad adds a unique skill set to dB’s team of systems advisors. He has extensive and diverse product knowledge across many manufacturers and product categories and deeply understands customer’s needs. Whether you are upgrading your existing technology or want to design/install new systems - he understands how to apply the right technology to meet and/or exceed your expectations while staying within your budget.

Jason Block

Systems Advisor

Prior to joining the team at dB, Jason worked for Guitar Center for 14 years, first in pro audio sales at a flagship store, then onto GC Pro, the outside sales division for Guitar Center. During his time with GC, Jason built long-term client relationships and became the “go-to guy” for AVL solutions spanning multiple market segments including live performance venues, hotels, conference centers, mix-use properties, retail, house of worship, restaurants, schools and recording studios.

Now, Jason utilizes his deep understanding of today’s technologies to bring solutions to corporate and commercial enterprises. From conference room AV and acoustic treatment, to large property distributed audio, digital signage and LED lighting solutions, Jason further incorporates tailored control systems that fully integrate all technologies to create a seamless and enjoyable experience for staff and patrons.

Quickly recognizing the value in dB’s unique 5 step process of Evaluation, Collaboration, Integration, Coordination and Communication, Jason effectively assists businesses with AVL solutions that exceed expectations while respecting project budgets.

John Cabaniss

Systems Advisor

John, a native of North Carolina, comes to dB having a Bachelor of Science degree in Music Education from Western Carolina University with 35 years of experience as a professional musician.

He spent 13 years traveling full-time in addition to playing as a freelance trumpet player in Nashville, TN. John also served, for 10 years, as a church music director/arranger for orchestras, praise bands, vocal ensembles, and choirs. His association with music spans 50 years.

His music experience greatly enhances his ability to understand the challenges “live” music brings on and off the stage. As a systems advisor for dB, John is a great value in helping provide customers with high quality solutions to their existing and future needs.

Paul Lynch

Customer Service / Inside Sales

Paul is a music industry professional with over 30 years experience as a concert artist, clinician, producer and minister of worship. He also holds Master of Arts and Bachelor of Science degrees in Music Education from the University of North Alabama. Paul was lead singer and vocal director for the Christian music group TRUTH - as vocalist he recorded their first number one song “Jesus Never Fails”.

Paul has always had a special place in his heart for those who use technology especially in houses of worship and feels especially happy to be able to help them better share the gospel to the people in their community. At dB his years of experience allow Paul to have a unique perspective in customer service or inside sales – the ability to understand the customer’s needs from their standpoint and then recommend the appropriate solution. His goal is to strengthen all our customer relationships; making sure that your expectations are met or exceeded.

Britney Brewer


Prior to joining dB Audio & Video, Britney had 8 years experience working in consumer finance and project development for commercial properties at Walters Management and Jack Waldrip Real Estate.

Britney received her Bachelor’s degree in Finance from North Georgia College and State University and enjoys spending time outdoors with her family and volunteering at the Humane Society.

As our accountant she is responsible for Accounts Payable and Receivable – as well as handling all billing and job costing.

Leslie Shamus


Prior to joining dB Audio & Video, Leslie had years of experience in the secretarial, bookkeeping and accounting areas; working for both major corporations and small businesses.

Leslie has attended a number of colleges and universities including Gainesville State College with an emphasis on business and accounting.

Coming on with dB in 2005, Leslie brings a variety of knowledge and experience. Her duties include purchasing, shipping/receiving, inventory control, and sales support.
